how was idea of satyagraha totally different from another one?

because it's about non violence ,that's why it's different than others , satyagraha is the best idea/way to show displeasure with someone. this idea is given by Mahatama Gandhi who gathered the people and called for movement with non violence . Mahatama Gandhi always called for satyagraha when the need of movement arise , in his first satyagraha in south Africa he had gathered the Indians who were living in south Africa and locals (black people) who were facing racial discrimination , Gandhi started satyagraha and force the government to provide for the equality .
