Junagad was a Princely state in Maharashtra. The Indian natives there wanted to get merged with India. But the Nawab of Junagad was thinking of joining Pakistan. However the people opposed his decision and the Nawab left for Pakistan. Later in February 1948,Junagad got merged with Indian Union.
