Gandhi was shot by a protestor Nathuram Godse by shooting 3 bullets straight into Bapu's abdomen while he was going to attend a meeting with the public in his ashram early morning on 30th January ,1948.

Mahatma gandhi was killed by a fanatic named nathuram godse on 30 January, 1948. this is because he was not satisfied with gandhi jis idea that the Hindus and Muslims shoild live in harmony.
