1) The first half of seventeenth century the administration become quite centralised.
2)Ahom society was divided into clans and khels.
3) A khels often controlled several vll latest.
4) The peasant was given landline by his village community. Even the king could not take away without the community content.

Ahom state was depended on forced labours also known as paiks. A census of population was taken. Every village had to send a number of paiks. The people from densely populated area shifted to less populated area. Ahom clans were this broken up. But by the first half of the 17th century the administration became quite centralised.
