How was the discovery of agriculture useful to early humans?

it provided them sufficient and desired quantity of food and due to this practise, they started leading a settled life as they no longer wander in forests in the search of food

it was useful as the could settle down and grow there own food without being able to scan the whole forest. they could grow different types of crop and as fertilizer were not invented then the soil was fertilized.
