How was the French society divided in the eighteenth century

the French society was divided into 3 estates during the 18th century.The 1st estate was clergy i.e, high priests,2nd was nobility i.e big businessman and merchants and the 3rd estate consisted of common people.Only the people of 3rd estate paid taxes and the people of 1st and 2nd estates enjoyed certain privileges by birth and didn't had to pay taxes.

first estate:this belong to clergy people. people who invest money in special

functions those are fathers, and other members of church.

second estate: this estate belongs to nobility.

third estate:this belongs to small peasants businessmen etc. members of this category had to pay all the taxes
