The language of teaching of the saint of Bhakti movement was sadukdi or local language so that its messages spread far and wide. This movement gave birth to two concepts - Nirguna and Saguna. Nirguna focused on knowledge while Saguna focused on love.  

The Bhakti Movement drew its inspiration from several saints and originated in the eighth century in South India. Its influence slowly spread to North and East India.
