Mahalwari system was just a modified version of zamindari system....in this question basically you have to describe mahalwari system....i'll give you the points
1.it was introduced in 1822 in gangetic valley,north-west provinces,central india and punjab.
2. In this system,a settlement was made collectively,with a group of villages called mahal.
3. The villages were jointly responsible for the payment of land revenue.
4. It was leived on the produce of mahal.
5. It was a curse for the peasants as it led to poverty,eviction from land and exploitation at the hands of the moneylenders.
