How was the process of constitution making process different in India as compared to South Africa

in India there was not a typical type segregation , only at the partitions there was. In India the partition was based on religion but in South Africa it was based on the skin colour .There was no topic on which was has to be compressed . India had its own constitution assembly of 299 members and Pakistan had its own.
