the society were divided into three estates
The First Estate
The Second Estate and
The Third Estate
The first state
People of first estate were the clergy who work at church . the enjoy all the rights and privileges and were not have to pay any tax
the second estate
People of of second estate include nobality who work at court of king . they also enjoy all the rights and don not have to pay any tax
The third estate
All the people which make the third estate include merchant , farmers ,social workers like doctors and teachers etc. they live in only 10% of the land of the total kingdom . they don't have any rights and privileges they have to pay all the taxes to the church and to the state

In the eighteenth century, the French society was divided into three estates_ *First estate comprising Clergy *Second estate comprising Nobility and the *Third estate of peasants,artisans and businessmen.
This social division was also one of the reasons for French Revolution.
