Well first of all the villagers got a benefit of rupees 1000 for finding a suitable tiger for the hunt. Secondly, Miss Mebbin was being paid for helping Mrs. Packletide. In the end as well Miss Mebbin got a cottage by threatening to Mrs. Packletide. So all in all the others were profited more than Mrs. Packletide herself.

Mrs. Packletide offers 1000 Rupees per family who help her in Tiger shoot. She have to pay Mrs. Mebbin, her paid companion who helps her in tiger shooting. Mrs. Mebbin blackmailed Mrs. Packletide to pay for her weekend cottage otherwise she will say Loona Bimberton that Mrs. Packletide had shot goat instead of tiger. in last, Mrs Packletide have to pay for Mrs. Mebbin's weekend cottage.
