• Plants absorb water and minerals by the roots. The roots have root hair which increases the surface area of the root for absorption of water and mineral nutrients.
• A plant also has pipe like vessels to transport water and minerals. These vessels are known as vascular tissue.
• The vascular tissue for transport of water and nutrients in the plant is called xylem.
• The xylem forms continuous network of channels that connects routes to the leaves through the stem and branches.
• After the leaf synthesise food, the food is to be transported to rest of the parts which is done by the phloem.
Hope it helps!!
