In a copy of the Periodic Table of Elements, find the relative atomic mass of each element in the molecule. Then, multiply the atomic mass of an element by the number of atoms of the element in the molecule. To complete the calculation, add up the mass of all of theatoms to get the molecular weight.
ex. Methane
(CH9)..
1 carbon atom. and
9 hydrogen atom.
