Alright so SST is a subject that is studied differently by different people. Try to figure out what is your 'type' of learning.. Do you
1. Take in information through all your senses (Visual, auditory, etc.) and connect it all to the main idea? OR
2. Take in information step by step and rely more upon memory.
Based on what way you learn, take up methods. If you do (1), make mind maps, recordings, drawings, etc. If you do (2), repetition and clear ideas in your head is a must

Social Sciences is based on everything happening around you. It's about Politics, Geography, Economy and History. My Social Science teacher tries teaching us in an interactive way, these are some methods she uses:
Situation method
It is mostly used while reading Democratic politics or Economics. Take a probable situation and answer the following
What can you do about it?
Are there any laws in the govt about it?
What actions can you take?
Is it legal?
Data collection method.
In our class, we use this widely for Geography and Economy (and also Sociology)
Imagine you went to a place, try finding out about its geographic features, diets, agriculture, economy, jobs and beliefs.
Story method or Roleplay method
We use this for economics and History.
Suppose you're studying French Revolution. Now, imagine you're one of the peasants, write a diary entry. Suppose you're an aristocrat, write anewspaper report.
