Eradication of Poverty is very necessary for the development and Betterment of the country and its citizens.
According to me, there are 3 main causes that lead to Poverty in India:
IlliteracyUnemploymentHuge Population
So,Measures that should be taken to combat Poverty from India are:
Avoid Jobless Growth : India is the country with surplus labour force but unfortunately the job opportunities are very less . This is because the growth here is ‘ technology driven' and not 'emlpoyment driven'. So, The growth and development should be ‘ employment driven' and not ‘ technology driven'. This will helpprovide employment and hence poverty will eradicate.Population Control : Control in Population is a very Major factor which can be help in combating Poverty . Family size and poverty are strongly correlated . Poorer people tend to have large family size . They have a backward mind set that more children means more hands which will help in earning more money, but the irony is totally different . The huge size of family means more money to buy food, water and clothes. The expenses of huge family are huge and hence , the parents cannot send their children to school for education . No education means no employment. As a consequence , they live their lives in eternal poverty.Industrial growth in the backward regions of the country : Entrepreneurs starting business should set up their business in the backward regions of the country.
