Conversion of toluene to benzyl alcohol ---

To convert toluene to benzyl alcohol we have to treat toluene with $KMnO_{4}$ /$OH^{-}$ which will form a intermidiate compound in this reaction i.e Benzoic acid when we will treat Benzoic acid with [tex] Li AlH_{4} [/tex] It will form Benzyl alcohol.
