A perfect number is a positive integer that is equal to the sum of its proper positive divisors, that is, the sum of its positive divisors excluding the number itself.

Suppose the number 6. The divisors of 6 excluding itself are 1,2 and 3. We see that 6= 1+2+3

So, 6 is a perfect number.

All even numbers are not perfect. You can take a number 14. Divisors of 14  excluding itself are 1, 2, 7. But 14 1+2+7.

So, 14 is not a perfect number although it is an even number.
