In the Era of globalisation and the concept of open markets , the MNCs have been investing in countries all over the world as per their analysis of profit making.

The MNCs invest in different ways...one of them in acquiring the already operating Companies in the country they wish to invest into.

Parakh foods was an Indian company and it was bought over and acquired by a big MNC called by the name - Cargill Foods.

It has its positive side also as foreign investment as well new technology enters the country and enhances the supply chain.

Cargill Foods, a very large American MNC, has taken over a smaller Indian company Parakh Foods. Parakh foods had five oil refineries whose control has now shifted to Cargill, who are now the largest producer of edible oils.
