heya here is ur ans.

Indians Hindusand Indian Muslims lived with peace before independence. In fact there were combinedefforts put in by both to make plans to fight against the British as we could see in Bengal. This was the only reason why Curzon played “divide and rulein Bengal”.Alsothe non cooperation movement led by Gandhi was a success because the muslim leaderssupported him.But after independence or we should say during independence, things got worst because of the following reasons:

1.The electionsheld in 1937 were hugely lost by the Muslim League . It wanted to form a joint govt. with thecongress to which it disagreed.

2.The growing popularity of Hindu Mahasabha and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh during 1930–40 which spreadthe ideology of Hindu nationalism. Making people realise that India was a land of Hindus.

3.The provincial elections that were held again in 1946, brought a confidence to the Muslim league as they won all the 30 reserved contituencies and 86.6% of muslim votes.

4.The above reason also led to the strenghthening of there demand for aseperate province for Muslims.
