Answer:

Muhammad Ghaznavi raids were not intended to establish a rule and dynasty in India. The money that he looted from India was used to make his own region prosperous and rich. It is said that he built a very big library in his own region from the money he looted from India.

On the other hand the raid of Muhammad ghori was to establish a rule in India. Though he was defeated earlier by Prithvi Raj Chauhan before he won Battle of Tarain, but he could not rule over India for long and later on his slave Qutab-uddin-Aibak established slave dynasty which ruled over India.
