Kalam has mentioned his three childhood friends and also revealed their relationships with each other. The names of his friends were- Ramanadha Shastry, Arvindam and Shivaprakasham. They belonged to different religious communities. Kalam being a Muslim, used to wear a cap while Ramanadha used to put on a sacred thread.
However, their religious disparities did not separate them. They used to live in harmony and didn't felt the difference.
