animals inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. since, carbon dioxide is an important element .... if it is not produced , the balance will be disturbed to a great extent and it would be difficult for humans to survive

Absence of animals wouldn't be there because of the ecological cycle from we are tied to, anyways if there is absence of animals then:-)
Absence of animals wouldn’t have a big effect on either oxygen or carbon dioxide. If the carcasses weren’t buried away from oxygen, their carbon would be oxidized into carbon dioxide. But there’s three pounds of oxygen above every square inch of land and sea. It would take a whole lot more animals than there are to make a dent in that.
