How will the writing of Rizal become significant in the present time

Amidst the presence of modern technology and social media that have changed the lifestyle of young people at present, the millennials of today can still learn from the life and works of Dr. Jose Rizal.
“Rizal served as an inspiration for many people during his time. For him, a revolution is not only about using bolos or firearms, but by using the pen which is mightier than the sword,” he said.
Palmos said that it is in the power of writing as a means to effect change that millennials can learn from Rizal.
“The theme for the 121st commemoration of Rizal’s martyrdom is “Rizal 2017: Mabuting Kaisipan, Susi sa Kaunlaran. It is about positive thinking or having positive minds,” he said.
He said that millennials should bear in mind that whatever they feel, whatever they do, whatever they act are a very important part of their way of life.
At present, Palmos said that young people are very much engaged in social media and in other forms of entertainment but there is a need to ‘check and balance’ on what we think, what we say, and what we write about other people.
