how will u bring exactly 4l of water from a pool if you are given 2 jars.. one of capacity 5l and other of 3l...and there is no measuring instrument along with u.

Take 3 L of water in the 3L bottle and transfer to the 5L bottle.

Again take 3L water in the 3L bottle and transfer to 5L bottle(which already has 3L). This time 5L bottle gets full (with 2L from the 3L bottle) and the remaining water in 3L bottle is 1L. Add this to the pot.

Now, fill the 3L bottle for the last time and transfer the water to the pot . We have 1L + 3L = 4L of water in the pot.
