The number of molecules react in any reaction or no. of molecules present towards reactant side is called molecularity of a reaction.
It is a theoretical concept.
Eg -
1. Unimolecular reaction
NH4Cl ____ NH3 + HCl
2.Bimolecular reaction
NO2 + CO ____ NO + CO2
3.Trimolecular reaction
2FeCl3 + SnCl2 ____ SnCl4 + 2FeCl2.
