This conversion can easily be brought by using suitable catalytic conditions.

First Step ⇒

Propanone Reacts with the Nascent Hydrogen and undergoes Reduction to form Propan-2-ol.

Reaction is,

H₃C - CO - CH₃ +  2[H] ------------- CH₃CH(OH)CH₃

Second Step ⇒

Now, this Propan-2-ol undergoes dehydration in the Presence of the Aluminium oxide to form Propene.

Reaction  is,

CH₃CH(OH)CH₃  ------------ CH₃CHCH₂ + H₂O

This is the shortest of converting this conversion.

Hope it helps.
