Real image :

When the rays of light passing through the lens then the rays really meet at a point after reflection then the image is formed a real image.

Situation of real image :

When an object is placed at a distance from the mirror or lens than the focal point then formed the real image. This is the inverted.

Virtual image :

When the rays of light passing through the lens then the rays appear to meet at a point after reflection then the image is formed a virtual image.

Situation of virtual image :

When rays appear to be coming from a point behind the mirror then the virtual image is formed.
