Answer:

Do not do what your children want to do. Do what you think is best for them. Yes, it is not enough to tell your children why they should not do this or that. We have to explain and let them know the reason. Rules and laws are made for the good of everyone. Breaking the law may have far reaching consequences. Actions has reactions. If somebody ride through a red light and meet with a grievous accident, it is not only the law breaker who will suffer. He or she may die or have a lifetime disability. His dead or his disability will will affect the parents and all his dear and near ones. On the other side too, whoever he or she hurt will face a traumatic experience though it was none of their fault.

A difficult question to answer. All parents need wisdom and discernment to teach their children. Continue to build a solid relationship with them first by spending quality time with them. A combination of parents + children + friends is always a plus point.

God bless you.
