HERE IS U R ANSWER

The most simple way to produce Propanoic acid from Ethyl chloride is by using Potassium cyanide and the intermediate product undergoes hydrolysis to form the final product. There are 2 steps for this reaction.
1. In the first step, Potassium cyanide (KCN) is subjected to reaction with Ethyl alcohol in the presence of aqueous ethanol. This reaction undergoes a nucleophilic substitution reaction and forms the intermediate product called as - Propanenitrile, with the release of KCl.
C₂H₅Cl + KCN → C₂H₅CN + KCl
2. In the next step, the intermediate product, Propanenitrile is subjected to hydrolysis and it forms - Propanoic acid.
C₂H₅CN + H₃O⁺ → C₂H₅COOH + HCN
