Process of conversion of  toluene to carboxylic acid:

Explanation:

Conversion of  toluene to carboxylic acidis carried out by the process of oxidation.

  • We can prepare Benzoic Acid from Toluene By oxidizing it.
  • Basically toluene need to be oxidizing in the  presence of Potassium per magnate k₂MNO₄ in order to get potassium Benzoate.
  • Next step includes on Acid Hydrolysis Obtains Benzoic Acid.

Use of k₂MNO₄ Potassium permanganate used  in for the water treatment. The basic use of it is to  regenerate the chemical to remove iron and hydrogen sulfide
