The plant epidermis consists of three main cell types: pavement cells, guard cells and their subsidiary cells that surround the stomata and trichomes. It  has cone like structure..
Guard cells are kidney-shaped cells  filled with chloroplasts. They always occur in pairs and form a small pore between them..

1- Cell wall are thick
2- 
boundary between the plant and the external environment; Helps in protection
3- Rectangular in shape
4- No chloroplasts

Guard cells - 
1- Cell wall are not so thick
2- Have stomata; Helps in exchange of gases
3- Bean like shape
4- Have chloroplasts
