in somatic division Each pair of chromosomes comprises one chromosome inherited from the father and one inherited from the mother.
In mitosis (somatic)each daughter cell is genetically identical to the parent cell and they are diploid. Two daughter cells are formed
In meiosis which occur in reproductive cell the daughter cell is genetically different from the parents and are haploid. Four daughter cells are formed

Cell division is the process by which a parent cell divides into two or more daughter cells.[1] Cell division usually occurs as part of a larger cell cycle.
