1. The mixture of common salt and ammonium chloride is taken in a china dish and placed on a stand. 2. Take a glass funnel to cover the dish, a cotton plug is kept at the open end of the funnel as shown in the figure. 3. On heating the mixture, ammonium chloride changes into white vapours, rise up and get converted into solid ammonium chloride. 4. It is deposited on the walls of the funnel. In china dish we can find the common salt.
