To Show that Oxygen is released during Photosynthesis

\sf\large{Requirements\::-}Beaker, Long Stemmed Funnels test tube, water, Hydrilla (water plant).

\sf\large{Method\::-}

  • Put Few twigs of Hydrilla plant in a Beaker with invented funnel over them.
  • Pour water in the Beaker.
  • Place a test tube filled with water over the invented funnel.
  • Place the beaker in sunlight for 1-3 Hrs.

\sf\large{Observation\::-}Bubbles Came out from cut ends of twigs and collect at upper end of test tube.

\sf\large{Conclusion\::-}Gas Collected in the test tube is Oxygen. Experiment shows that Oxygen is released during Photosynthesis. Presence of O2 can be tested by introducing a Burning match stick. Brightening of Flame indicates O2 presence.
