We can show VIBGYOR through a glass prism by passing a white light.

When white is passed through a prism, dispersion of white light into seven constituent colours occurs as the lights of different colours bends through the different angles while passing through the prism.

VIBGYOR -The band of seven colours is called VIBGYOR.

V = Violet

I = Indigo

B = Blue

G = Green

Y = Yellow

O = Orange

R = Red
