How will you test the presence of starch in a leaf????

The presence of starch in leaves can be tested by an iodine test. Then we remove chlorophyll from the leaf by boiling it in alcohol. After that, add a few (or just 2) drops of iodine solution. If the colour changes blue-black, it contains starch.
