greenhouse effect is the warming up of earth due trapping of solar radiation of sun which enters into earth's atmosphere. These is caused by the presence gases such as carbon dioxide and methane and also dust particles, water vapour ,etc. These gases are known as green house gases. Today it is a major cause of global warming but it is also important for the survival of organisms on earth. It maintains temperature. Without it days would be very hot and nights would be very cool like deserts. It would make survival almost impossible on earth.
