Yes, India can emerge as a super power - only if we do not derail ourselves , which would mean a harakiri or suicide. AS a nation we are capable of doing it and the best beginning is overturning a performing government in the general elections just because of myopic vision or getting guided by the short term personal gains or benefits . We have lot of problem in policy making and implementing and decisions get taken based on immediate gains at the cost of long term benefits. When it comes to FREE - we can seek anything free and elect those promising us the FREE goodies - no matter even if we are to pay thru our nose later on - for nothing comes free in this world. WE are a fractured people and divisive - be it any parameter economic, social m religious, region, linguistic or educational - we can have 3 groups amongst 2 people. Challenge is how to build a national character which will subdue the individual goals to the nation and everybody works for the country with personal sacrifices. The ulterior goal has to be shared one and cherished by one and aLL. World class trains get vandalised and damaged, farmers do not get the rates for their produce and consumers end up paying much higher - with the middle chain managers eating out and building personal fortunes. Corruption has gone deep into our blood and society not only glorifies it but avoids reprimanding the corrupt or rather they cannot do so. Political class works on divisive agenda and somehow try to build empires and install dynasties. So if all this cannot be corrected it has the potential to derail our journey to being super power.  Success which ISRO has seen can be replicated across institutions and organisations - we are capable of it . We need to enhance out national character and take pride in it. Our education policy has to be revamped and children has to be high on the nationalism quotient. They need to think nation, work for nation, sacrifice for nation. Today it is the army who sacrifices life at borders. WE need to have compulsory army service for one and all for 3 years at age of 16 before continuing further. Indians need to have control over population while maintaining the existing demographic equations. WE are an oasis for our neighbours and hence need to control the migration . WE need to place NATION FIRST and by 2025 if we do what is required in terms of giving Nationalist another chance we can become a super power. He is currently correcting the infrastructure and in 2nd term can do wonders. FRuits of what he is doing now can be realised by 2022 only.

Nearly half a billion people live in poverty, most of them are homeless, ill and trapped in the vicious cycle of poverty.

Due to lack of food, thousands of people die because life expectancy at birth is very low and infant mortality is high.
