Answers
Answer:
sportsman ship
Explanation:
According to me the poem 'Nine gold medals' by David Roth has a very deep say and what makes an Olympic special is not just winning gold medals and making ur country proud. As u have read the poem u might know that what made the Olympic special, if not let me tell u that this poems talks about pera-olympics. The poet tells us that the participants in the race are handicap and had worked hella hard all these years to participate and win a gold medal in the race.when the gun sounded and and the races sprinted , among them a small boy stumbled and fell on his knees and started to cried and cursed himself as his dreams had shattered to pieces and could no longer get a gold for his country. Hearing the boy cry the other athletes stoped on there track and went pick the boy up on his feet which took the boy through surprise. They all held there hands together and ran till the finish line. This was indeed a special Olympics as all the nine racers had won a gold medal.
But ' if ' it was a summer Olympics then the
senerio might have been different as people who have no physical challange they belive in competition than in sportsman ship cause they rarely appreciate
the winner and their achievement.
