pressure changes to area when

thrust=pressure /area

the pressure becomes zero

Answer:

The pressure would change if the contact surface changes Thus P(pressure) is inversely proportional.to A(area) provided the force applied is constant. Thus if we double the area of contact while keeping the force constant, then according to the formula the pressure should be halved.
