An amoeba will be classified as animal-like.

Explanation:

  • Considering the mode of nutrition of bacteria, we know that amoeba cannot make its own food by photosynthesis like plants. Neither does it has decomposing activities like fungi.

  • As amoeba has mode of nutrition like animals, i.e feeding on other organisms, hence it will be considered as animal- like.

  • Amoeba can move, unlike the plants and fungus. Hence, this property also makes amoeba animal like.
