How would you demonstrate that green plants release oxygen when exposed to light?

(Or)In your lab, you have conducted an experiment to prove that O₂ is released during

Photosynthesis. Based on it, answer the following question:[T.B Page no:7 Lab activity]

a) Which plants are utilized for the experiment? Where do we find them?

b) Describe, the procedure of the experiment? When did you observe, the release of

more air bubbles. (Or)What materials are required to prove that oxygen is

produced during photosynthesis in the presence of light? What procedure we

need to flow to perform the above experiment.

2. What process you follow in your laboratory to study presence of starch in leaves?

(Or) Text book-Page no-3 Activity-1, Fig.2 Based on it, answer the following questions

a) Which factor of photosynthesis he wants to find out?

b) Is there any condition in this experiment?

c) Why the plant is kept in dark for 24 hours?

d) Describe the steps of the experiment?

3. How can you prove that sun light necessary for photosynthesis? (T.B pg no.8 Activity-3).

(Or) You have conducted an experiment to show that light is essential for formation of

carbohydrates(starch) Explain?

4. How do you prove that carbon dioxide is essential for photosynthesis? (Or) Textbook

pageno-5, Activity-2-Fig.4 Write the answers by observing the experiment performed at

your school.

i. Why the potted plant was kept darkroom for week days prior to the

experiment?
