The exchange between Ramachari and the farmers in the village can be considered as an exchange of tools for crops.
Ramachari was a carpenter by profession in his village. He made implements and tools for farmers to carry out their farming activities. In turn, he got 70 kilograms of paddy from each farmer he made the tools for. There were 40 such farmers.
Ramachari took what he needed for his family and sold the remaining quantity in the market. He looked after his family’s needs with what he earned that way.
