preparing a herbarium is a very simple process. all tat u will need are few sheets of herbarium sheets, fevicol, tags and pressed plants. to start off, fresh plants need to be collected with its roots intact. if it is an angiosperm, then its important for the sample to carry a flower or its fruit wit them. once the plants are collected, put them in between sheets of newspaper individually. stack all the plant samples on eachother n place them under a heavy weight for a few days to a few weeks(untill they dry completely)this is done so as to remove all the moisture within the plant so that there wont be any microbial or fungal attack in the future. once these specimens are dry, they are tagged with tags and are stuck on the herbarium sheets with fevicol. it is ready for evaluation!
