how would you show that magnesium metal reacts with dilute sulphuric acid to produce hydrogen gas

here is it's reaction
Mg + HCl --------> MgCl + H
here the reaction that is taking place is displacement reaction . so , the compound that is formed is magnesium chloride + Release of hydrogen gas.
