How would you show that sounds need medium to propagate

to show that sound need medium to travel by performing activity given below

materials needed : tall glass ,jar bell, candle

method : take a a jar glass attach a small bell to the bottom of the cap of the jar close the jar with the cap . shake the botle and note the sound made by bell now opn the jar place lighted candle in it and close the jar once again wait for the candle to be extinguished shake the botle again the sound is not produced . the oxygen is taken up by the candle so the bell does not produces any sound .

this proves that sound need medium to travel .
