That's simple We have Iodine test for it,
1. Destarch the leaf
2. Boil it
3. Iodine test, if the leave turns purple then there is starch

We can test the presence of starch in leaf by using iodine solution.
If we apply iodine solution solution to the leaf, the part of the leaf which contains starch turns blue-black and the other part of the leaf which did not contains starch shows brown coloration.
If we apply iodine solution solution to the leaf, the part of the leaf which contains starch turns blue-black and the other part of the leaf which did not contains starch shows brown coloration.
