Here, we had a great time celebrating Ganpati . At school, our seniors made some clay models of Ganpati. These idols were kept for sale and the proceeds were contributed to an NGO for the welfare of their inmates.
At home, we had a puja both in the morning and in the evening. We bought one of the newly introduced eco-friendly ganpati in the market. They are filled with vegetable and fruit seeds to help in the cultivation of these plants when they are immersed in water. Amma made some sundal and modaks as prasad. They were quite yummy. Finally, we had a common puja in our apartment complex in the evening. Each family contributed Rs.500/- and we bought a huge 5’ idol.
