My worship practices keep me experientially in touch with my core values. In my spiritual practices, I feel more in tune with the current of living joy that runs through all things. It reminds me what “good human behavior” is and why. To me, good behavior is that which promotes joy, and not suffering; and furthermore, that which recognizes all things as conscious, and therefore as valid experiencers of joy and suffering. This core, guiding touchstone of my morality derives directly from my spiritual practices, and those practices also regularly recalibrate me to it.
