Given that Average of 10 observation = 200.

Total number of observations = 10 * 200

                                                   = 2000.

Given that Average of 20 observations = 150.

Total number of observations = 150 * 20

                                                  = 3000

So, the total number of observations = 3000 + 2000

                                                              = 5000.

Therefore the average of 30 observations = 5000/30

                                                                         = 166.67.

Hope this helps!

As given the average of 10 observation is 200 then it goes like this,

200 = Total Observation/10

Total observation = 200 × 10 = 2000
_______________________________________________________

Also, the average of 20 observation is 150,

150 = Total observation/ 20

Total Observation = 150 × 20 = 3000
_______________________________________________________

So in order to find the average of 10+20 observations we are to sum the

total observations of them,

New Total observation = 3000 + 2000 = 5000

Mean = 5000/30

          = 166.67
